Michael G Olson PA-c
President of the Muira Village Health Center Project Michael Olsen, President. He works for St. Vincent´s Hospital, Indiana. Michael holds a B.S. in Biology from Northern Michigan University and a B.S. in the Medicine Physician Assistant Program of Western Michigan University.
He worked with the cardiovascular units at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri and Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Michael is married with four children.
Margaret Khan RN BSN
Margaret Khan, Founder and Executive Director. She was born in Uganda and works as a Registered Nurse at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She has a B.S. in Nursing from Marian College, Indiana. Margaret has also worked at St. Vincent´s Hospital in Indianapolis as an RN and Certified Nursing Assistant. She is married and has two daughters.
Dr. Mohammed S. Orloff Ph.D, MS (Biotechnology)
Mohammed Orloff, PhD, Board Member. He works with the Genomic Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Orloff received his PhD at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Ohio.
He has also worked as a Senior Research Scientist in the Institute of Primate Research (IPR), National Museums of Kenya.
Sr. Demetria Smith M.S.O.L.A
Sr. Demetria Smith, Board Member. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Midwife, and Public Health Visitor. She holds an undergraduate degree in Allied Nursing and a Masters in Urban Ministry. Sr. Demetria worked in Algiers, North Africa for one year and in Uganda for 20 years.
She has been a member of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa for 54 years. Sr. Demetria works with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Jamie Courtway
Dr Jamie Courtway, M.D., Board Member. She received her MD from IU School of Medicine Indiana and is currently working with the Care Group LLC., in Indianapolis.
Peter O. Olono PhD, Board Member
Born in Uganda, Peter is an Assistant Professor in faculty of Mechanical Engineer at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
He also worked with Facilities Management at the University of Tennessee in Memphis TN.
David Bitira, Board Member
Medical doctor with post-graduate training in Public Health, management of comprehensive HIV and AIDS programs; and Project Planning and Management.
Expertise in implementing facility and community based, PEPFAR and non-PEPFAR funded, HIV and AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria and Sexual and Reproductive Health programs.
